(FAQ)

1. What types of counselling do you offer?

We provide individual, couples, and family counselling. Our areas of focus include anxiety, depression, stress management, relationship challenges, grief, self-esteem, and personal growth.

2. How do I know if counselling is right for me?

Counselling can be helpful if you feel stuck, overwhelmed, or want support in making changes in your life. Many people seek counselling during times of stress, transition, or when coping strategies aren’t working as well as they used to.

3. What can I expect in the first session?

Your first session is a chance to get to know your counsellor and share what brings you to therapy. Together, you’ll discuss your goals and explore how counselling can best support you. It’s also an opportunity to ask questions and ensure you feel comfortable.

4. How long are sessions and how often will I need them?

Sessions typically last 50 minutes. The frequency depends on your needs—some people prefer weekly sessions, while others choose bi-weekly or monthly. This will be discussed and adjusted to suit your goals and comfort level.

5. Is everything I say confidential?

Yes. Your privacy is very important to us. What you share in counselling is confidential, with only a few exceptions required by law (such as risk of harm to yourself or others, or child protection concerns). Your counsellor will explain these limits clearly in your first session.

6. Do you offer online counselling?

Yes, we offer both in-person and secure online sessions. Online counselling can be a convenient option if you have a busy schedule, live far away, or simply prefer the comfort of your own space.

7. Do I need a referral to book a session?

No referral is required. You can book directly with us by phone, email, or through our online booking system.

8. How much does counselling cost?

Our fees vary depending on the type of session (individual, couple, or family). Please contact us for up-to-date pricing. Some insurance providers or employee assistance programs may cover the cost of counselling.

9. How many sessions will I need?

The number of sessions varies depending on your goals and circumstances. Some clients find a few sessions helpful, while others benefit from longer-term support. We’ll work together to determine what’s right for you.

10. What if I don’t feel comfortable with my counsellor?

The relationship between you and your counsellor is very important. If you feel the fit isn’t right, we encourage you to let us know. We can discuss your concerns or help connect you with another counsellor.

11. What should I do if I need to cancel an appointment?

We kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. This allows us to offer the time to another client in need. Late cancellations or missed appointments may be subject to a fee.

12. Can counselling really help me?

Many people find counselling life-changing. It provides a safe space to process your thoughts and feelings, gain new perspectives, and develop tools to manage life’s challenges. While it’s not a quick fix, counselling can lead to lasting positive changes.
